Manchester Ranked Number One Buy-to-Let Prospect Area

Surprising nobody from the area, but perhaps catching a few people from outside of the North West unawares, Manchester has been ranked the number one Buy-to-let prospect by Simply Business.

Taking into account criteria such as the average total rent, yield, house price growth, vacancies, and the percentage of the population living in rented accommodation, the city has jumped from its fourth-place listing last year to first for 2023.

Figures show that almost a third of all residents live in the private rental sector, and house prices have grown on average by over 5.5% annually.

As mentioned in my last blog, average rental prices are through the roof, and taking into account the doom and gloom in the media around house prices now may be the time to diversify into Manchester for your next buy-to-let property.
